The Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board is offering scholarships of up to $1,000.00 to up to 10 post-secondary students per year from Nunavik, Quebec, attending a fully accredited college or university and specializing in Biology, Ecology, or similar fields of Natural Science.

The Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board is offering scholarships of up to $1,000.00 to up to 10  post-secondary students per year from Nunavik, Quebec, attending a fully accredited college or  university and specializing in Biology, Ecology, or similar fields of Natural Science. Full time students are eligible for the full scholarship, part time students will be eligible for a proportion  of the scholarship matching their proportion of full-time studies. 

The Scholarship has been created to encourage students to pursue and explore advanced  education in Biology Sciences disciplines, with the long-term aim of filling natural science  positions in Nunavik with qualified Nunavimmiut. 

Application Requirements: 

To be eligible for the Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board scholarship program, each member  must: 

  • Be an Inuit beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement Submit an enrollment or acceptance letter for full time studies from an accredited  institution with a primary program in Sciences or Biology – College or University Submit your most recent transcript / report card (high school or post-secondary) Submit a completed application form 
  • Submit a recent, high resolution electronic photograph 
  • Submit a current resume / CV
